Caramel Apple Sangria
As soon as September 1st hits, I am officially in fall mode. Bring on the pumpkins and bring down the temperature. One great way to break into fall is with a nice cocktail. One that has the flavors of fall, but is still nice and cool for those of us who aren’t fortunate enough to be out of the mid-80 degree weather. It’s super easy to make and great for entertaining. Ladies and gents, I present caramel apple sangria.
Just add the apple cider, sparkling cider, caramel vodka, and wine (pinot grigio, or some other dry white wine) to a large pitcher or carafe. Add the diced apples and cinnamon sticks, stir, and done. I like adding the sparkling cider to help give it a little more crispness. This can be omitted and extra apple cider can be used instead.
Depending on how big of a crowd you are serving, it’s also easy to scale up and make a double batch.
Serve over ice and enjoy!!
- 1 750ml bottle Pinot Grigio or other dry white wine
- 4 cups apple cider
- 1.5-2 cups sparkling apple or white grape cider
- 1 cup caramel vodka (I use Smirnoffs.)
- 2 medium apples; diced
- Cinnamon sticks; 3-4 small
- Combine everything into a large carafe or pitcher. Stir well.
- Serve over ice.
